Situated near the homestead are the Homespur and Packhorse Cottages – very comfortable self-contained cottages. These buildings are converted musterers huts built in the early 1900s, and have been recently refurbished to offer you farmstay accommodation in modern facilities in an historic setting.

The Rowley family has been farming Lake Hawea Station since 1912 and Tom and Adrienne have 3 sons all whom are passionate about their heritage. There are 10,500 Merino sheep and 200 beef cattle. The station, comprising of 28,000 acres (11,000 hectares), is mainly high country ranging from lake level to 5,000 feet.
